💐 PYO Lavender Workshop

Hi there and thanks for stopping by! My mom and I recently participated in a Pick Your Own lavender workshop at Mad Lavender Farm in Milford, NJ.

We had such a fun time learning about all things lavender, picking several bunches, petting the goats, and doing a little shopping as well. We picked up some natural yoga mat cleaner, bug repellent, and a French lavender plant to take home with us.

We were able to pick both French and English lavender. The French has more camphor it it, making it excellent for repelling insects but not great for eating.

We dried our English lavender for about a week and I’ve been keeping it in a jar in our spice cabinet. Here’s a recipe for lavender simple syrup. It’s divine in lemonade, lattes, cocktails, and even popsicles!

If you’re ever in the area I highly recommend visiting Mad Lavender Farm. It’s such a peaceful place and I already can’t wait to go back. They also offer yoga classes (goat yoga too!), sound baths, sage smudging workshops, and special seasonal dinners as well. Check them out!

Thanks for reading, have a fabulous day. :)
