🌴 Miami May 2022

Hi there and thanks for stopping by! Today I’m sharing a fun trip David, my parents and I went on back in May to Florida. We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove and had such a wonderful time!

I don’t have much to report as we spent most of our time relaxing poolside. The weather was warm and lovely, with only one afternoon of rain. My mom and I had facials at the spa and although expensive, we both really enjoyed ourselves.

We ventured down to the outdoor shopping area, Coco Walk, and enjoyed Harry’s Pizza, Sushi Garage, and the famous Salt & Straw ice cream. It’s a quick  5 minute walk from the hotel. We also checked out the marina area and ate lunch at Monty’s. It’s a cheesy tiki bar type place in the very best way. The grilled grouper sandwich was amazing!

Our flight home cancelled and we had to (got the chance to) stay one more night. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, Isabelle’s, and shared way too many laughs and way too much wine and pizza!

David once again upgraded us to First Class on the way home. We were so spoiled on this trip and I can’t wait to return to Miami again soon!

Thanks for reading, have a fabulous day. :)

👩🏻‍🍳 Air Fryer

Hi there and Happy August! This summer is absolutely flying by!

I know I’m late to the party, but I wanted to share my thoughts on our newest kitchen gadget, our air fryer!

We bought this Insignia model on a great sale from Best Buy, and we’ve been having lots of fun playing around with it.

So far my favorite thing to use it for is reheating pizza! It tastes like it came fresh out of the oven! We’ve also made pita pizzas with it, we’ve made burgers, and we also made DELICIOUS roasted potatoes and aioli for dipping. Here’s the recipe if you’re looking for a good and easy side dish! (Sadly I have no photos, we ate them as fast as I made them! Haha)

Roasted Potatoes-

-Scrub, peel, and dice 4 large baking potatoes.

-Toss in a bowl with 2 tbsp oil of choice (I used canola), garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper, paprika, and 1/4 c grated cheese (I used Pecorino Romano).

-I cooked mine for 10 minutes at 400F, tossed them, and then cooked them for an additional 8-10 minutes.

Aioli-

1/2 c sour cream

1/2 c Mayo

1/2 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp kosher salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

Juice of 1/2 lemon

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Mix everything in a bowl, adjusting the seasoning to your taste. You can even add a bit of cayenne pepper to make it spicy! This is also a wonderful dip with veggies or potato chips.

They came out crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Seriously addictive!

Do you have an air fryer? What’s your favorite thing to make in it? Let me know down below, I love hearing from you.

👜 Handbag Review~LV Artsy

Hi there! Ready for a handbag review? Today I’m sharing one of my newest and favorite bags in my collection, the Louis Vuitton Artsy MM in monogram canvas.

I picked up this bag at the Louis Vuitton boutique in Warsaw, Poland back in February. I’ve used it enough now that I’m ready to give my two cents.

Created in 2009, the Artsy was created as a nod to modern yet traditional design. Hobo bags are typically a very casual, bohemian style, but created out of monogram canvas with gold hardware, this bag can be both dressed up and worn casually. The bag was updated in 2019 with the addition of a strip of leather along the top, to prevent some of the cracking canvas issues this style had previously.

I love this bag so much for a few reasons. First, I love how small the opening of the bag is when its sitting on your shoulder. It makes it extremely secure. It would be nearly impossible for someone to reach in your bag, unlike the Neverfull designs.

Secondly, I love the built in organization! This bag has 6 small pockets as well as one large zipped pocket inside. It also has a key clip that I find very handy.

And lastly, it fits so much! It’s a more sleek style than a bulky tote, but it’s quite roomy inside. The bag measures 16”x12.6”x8.7”.

I love this design so much, and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants an excellent bag for everyday use. It’s quite pricey at $2500 USD (Style #M44869), but it’s exceptional quality and a style that I think is timeless!
