🚗 DC Road Trip

Hi there and thanks for stopping by!

This past December my mom, dad, and I road-tripped down to DC to see Once Upon a One More Time, the Britney Spears musical! It was a dream come true for me, and we had the very best time. 

We stayed at The Madison, a Hilton hotel downtown. It was clean and newly renovated, and had a parking garage close by. I would recommend it to anyone needing a place to stay in the DC area. With COVID, the breakfast and bar were very limited and room service was temporarily suspended, but we found it to suit our needs perfectly. 

For food, we stopped at the Cracker Barrel for lunch in Elkton, MD on the way down and had a wonderful time. It was right off the highway and Cracker Barrel never disappoints! After the play, it was late and we were hungry and tired. We ordered pizza from Duccini’s. It was fast and pretty good. They deliver till 4am! On the way home we had to stop at one of our very favorites, Potbelly’s. If you like things spicy, you have to try their hot Giardiniera. I made sure to bring home a jar for David!

And now for the best part, the play! One Upon a One More Time is in previews in DC at the Shakespeare Theater Company. It’s based around Grimms’ Fairytales, has all of Britney’s hits as the soundtrack, and YouTube stars Keone and Mari Madrid did all the choreography. Justin Guirini killed it as Prince Charming, he was my favorite character in the show. Everyone sang and danced their hearts out, and we were so entertained the entire time. I truly

didn’t want it to end. I don’t want to give too many spoilers away, but if you have the chance to go see it, you absolutely must. 

What is a road trip without a stop at Cracker Barrel?
