✈️ Chicago Apr 2022

Hi there and Happy Monday! Today I’m sharing a trip David and I took back in April to celebrate my birthday!

To start off the trip with a bang, David completely spoiled us and upgraded us to First Class. I’ve spent countless hours in First…but usually working as a flight attendant! This was such a nice treat.

We stayed at the EMC2 Hotel downtown. It’s a really neat concept, based around "the intersection of arts and science". The room was gorgeous and it’s such a great location within walking distance to everything. The best part though, are the room service robots, Leo and Cleo. They deliver anything you need to your room, they even ring the doorbell and know how to call the elevator!

What’s a trip to Chicago without some seriously delicious food? We had pizza at Lou Malnati’s, a lovely fancy French dinner at Mon Ami Gabi in Lincoln Park, treated ourselves to some cupcakes from Sprinkles, and ended our trip with a nice lunch at The Lobby inside the Peninsula Hotel. Of everywhere we travel, I always know Chicago is full of good eats!

While we were there we saw Moulin Rouge the musical. It was seriously one of the best shows I’ve ever been to. You could tell the actors were having so much fun and were so into it…that makes watching even more engaging. We also did some shopping (I had to pick up a few trinkets from the new Chanel location on Oak Street), and we ended our trip with spa treatments at the Peninsula. I would definitely recommend the spa, it’s clean, quiet, and the staff is lovely.

It was a quick, 2 night trip and then home to pick up the dogs! It was a wonderful time and I can’t wait to return to Chicago again soon.

Thanks for reading, have a fabulous day. :)
