🎃 Halloween Haunted House Kit

Hi there and thanks for stopping by!

Since we won’t be participating in many Halloween-related activities

outside our home this year, I decided a haunted house kit would be the perfect activity to get in the Halloween spirit as a family.

We picked ours up at Williams-Sonoma and had such a fun evening assembling and decorating our delicious spooky house.

The house was slightly difficult to assemble, young kiddos would definitely need a hand (or two) from an adult, but I think it’s the perfect fall activity to do together as a family. I also think this would be an adorable gift to send to friends and family to help them get in the spirit as well.

Everything in the kit is very good quality, from the thick, chocolate cookie pieces to the 3 shades of ready-to-use Royal icing and all the adorable little candy pieces. The kit includes bones, bats, candy corn, and even Halloween colored sprinkles.

We had such a fun evening and it definitely got me in the mood for all things fall. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Thanks for reading, have a fabulous day. :)

  1. If you want to do something similar but kind of 'cheat' find a small box and extra cardboard to make the 'house of your dreams'. I recommend keep it a simple house, but you could do an 'A-frame' to keep it even simpler. Make your own royal frosting and buy a box of graham crackers. Use the frosting to glue the crackers to the cardboard. Whatever isn't covered with crackers can be filled in with frosting or frosting and candies. Then go wild decorating. I use a small cookie sheet and cover it with tinfoil and set the house on it and finish landscaping. I've done the homemade baked gingerbread houses in the past, but honestly graham crackers work fine, especially if children are involved. And don't go for a BIG house...rookie mistake. Have fun.
