🥗 Italian Chopped Salad

I'm always looking for ways to jazz up boring salads, and this one has become one of our favorite lunchtime additions. This is more of a suggestion than an exact recipe, feel free to add or subtract ingredients to match your preferences. 

We do the majority of our grocery shopping at Aldi, and they have such wonderful additions for salads. We love their Italian salami, their jarred artichokes, and they have a fabulous selection of cheeses. Don't forget to peruse their produce section. You can't beat the quality and prices! 

Also, I paired this salad with my copycat Good Seasons Italian dressing, found here. Give it a try, it saves quite a bit of money by making it yourself, and it's such a tasty vinaigrette!

Italian Chopped Salad~

Ingredients~

Chopped Romaine lettuce as a base

Cucumbers

Carrots

Pepperoncini peppers, drained and chopped

Shredded Mozzarella cheese

Salami and Pepperoni, sliced in strips

Red onion, sliced very thinly

Method~

Throw it all in a bowl and enjoy! 

It's a delicious and colorful salad, full of bright and bold flavors. And we love how everything is perfectly bite-sized!

Also, we recently added a salad spinner to our kitchen gadgets collection and I don't want to know life without one now! Making salads is easier than ever and the lettuce comes out perfectly dry without wasting tons of paper towel. It is a serious time saver.
