👜 La Maison Moreau Paris

Opened in Paris in 1882, Maison Moreau sold luxury trunks and travel accessories to wealthy Parisians about to embark on journeys by way of steam trains and ocean liners. It’s iconic print is still in use today on its canvas models, the print is inspired by wicker baskets.

The brand closed down until 2011, when it received a revival from a woman named Veronika Rovnoff who bought one of their antique trunks at an auction. She had help from her brother, Fedor Savchenko, and together they brought the brand back to life.

Moreau Paris still makes their bags by hand in France using the same techniques from 100 years ago. The handles are hand stitched, making no two items identical. They’re made of highest quality materials and, according to the brand, their bags are made to endure years and years of daily wear.

I can personally attest to their quality, having received their Celestin tote in black in the large size as a Valentine’s gift from my hubby this year. I’ve been using it nonstop! The canvas is light, the handles are long and made of durable thick leather, and I love that they’re under the radar. No detail is overlooked, even the stitching on the handles make a letter "M". Moreau isn’t trendy, it’s timeless.

Having carried bags from brands such as Louis Vuitton, Goyard, and Fauré Le Page, Moreau is my favorite by far. I feel their value is exceptional for the price, and the customer service we received from their boutique in Houston was très bon. Moreau has a customer for life! ;)

Thanks for reading, have a fabulous day.
