🧡 October 2019 Favorites

Hi there and thanks for stopping by! Fall is one of my favorite seasons, and aside from the cooler weather, pumpkin-flavored everything, and my favorite holiday, Halloween, here's a few of my other favorites I've been enjoying this October:

Deborah Lippmann Natural Mystic Nail Polish Set-$29.95
Just in time for Halloween, this autumnal nail polish set includes 6 to-die-for shades that are right up my alley. Plums, blues, and purple shimmers all come packaged in an adorable spooky limited edition boxed set. Deborah Lippmann's formula is chip resistant and 7-Free as well! If you're interested make sure to download the HSN app, they're offering $10 off your 1st $20 purchase, making this set around $20, 45% off retail.

Chili's "Fang-Tastic" Margarita-$5.00
For the month of October, Chili's is serving up a blood orange margarita, complete with plastic fangs for only $5! David and I tried them out when we were there for dinner the other night (their Margarita Chicken on the 2 for $25 menu is delish and low calorie), and we really enjoyed them! Not too sweet and so much fun.

31 Nights of Halloween on Freeform-
I'm so happy they're doing 31 instead of 13 night of Halloween movies this year. All my faves, Hocus Pocus, Addams Family Values, and my very favorite movie of all time The Nightmare Before Christmas! Click the link for the full schedule, I'll be watching every night after dinner! ;-)

Madame-
I never saw any advertisements or trailers for this film, but it was on demand the other night on Fios and I was glued to the screen. If you like Downton Abbey you'll love this! A wealthy American couple is hosting a dinner party for the who's who of Europe at their Parisian chateau and only 13 people RSVP'd. To even out the table to an acceptable 14, they enlist their housekeeper to dress up and play the part of a wealthy Spanish heiress. It's full of sharp humor, gorgeous French scenery, and a drool-worthy wardrobe (the Van Cleef necklace stole my heart). Toni Collette, Harvey Keitel, and Rossy de Palma are all fabulous.

Halloween Decorations-
I love putting out some festive decorations for Halloween, and 2 new additions this year are these fun LED ghost lights that David picked up at Home Depot and Nightmare Before Christmas Snow Globe that I found at Walgreens in memory of my dog Zero. I have the lights strung along my headboard and I love that they're battery operated. The snow globe is on the dresser in our room and it makes me smile when I see it (it also lights up and plays "This is Halloween" too. How fun is that?).

🎪 Cirque de la Symphonie

Hi there! I'm back today to share a fun little night that David, my mom and I went on to see Cirque de la Symphonie with the Philadelphia Orchestra.

I was so bummed when we missed this performance back in 2014, so when I saw the show was coming back for a 2-night run we grabbed last minute tickets and texted our dog walker and headed down to Philly!

We stopped on the way for some happy hour drinks and apps at our local Chili's and had such a nice time relaxing before the show.

Our seats were way up in the 3rd tier but we really had a great view. We had so much fun "oohing and aahing" at the aerialists, contortionists, and dancers. The orchestra provided the best background music and I didn't want the show to end! The conductor, Kensho Watanabe, selected the music and then the Cirque team choreographed their act to it perfectly.

The program was thrilling and I absolutely insist you see a performance when Cirque de la Symphonie comes to your town!

Have you been on any fun dates lately? Let me know down below, I love hearing from you!

5 Fast Faves ~ May 2019

Hi there! Here’s a quick list of some things I really enjoyed last month:

What We Do in the Shadows on FX-
This show is a spin off of the movie and it’s quickly become one of our favorite shows. It follows vampire roommates living in Staten Island and it is so cleverly written! If you need a good, fun, mindless 25 minutes, this is perfect.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle body wash-
This was in my Easter basket from David (aka the Easter Bunny) and it smells divine! I love a scented body wash for the warmer months in lieu of heavy perfumes.

Chili’s Sunday all day happy hour-
This is such a great deal! Happy hour prices on food and drinks in the bar from open till close on Sundays. We visited our local Chili's with my parents for some margaritas and a late dinner and you can’t beat the prices. They also have a monthly $5 margarita and every one I've had has been fantastic!

People Magazine Jackie O Style Edition-
Again, another item in my Easter basket, this special edition focuses on Jackie O and how her sense of fashion still inspires today, 25 years following her death. It includes fun interviews, copies of her travel schedule with her outfits meticulously planned out, and comparisons of celebrities today and how their outfits imitate Jackie’s. She is my fashion icon and knew how to dress her body so well, I was so happy to flip through this magazine!

New Summer Pajamas-
I recently did a closet clean out and donated a bunch of winter pajamas. I’ve been picking up some new nightshirts here and there and this one from Charter Club at Macy's is amazing (sizes XS-3XL available). Gorgeous, soft fabric, a nice weight for summer, and it’s a really nice length too. Not to mention a great price as well.
